Mr. Edson Kirabira, Director Federation of Uganda Social Media influencers and Operation Wealth Creation civil coordinator has shared his message ahead of LC I elections. Below is his full message;
“Fellow Ugandans, As we approach the Local Council I (LC1) elections, let us remember that this is one of the most important offices in our governance structure. The LC1 Chairperson is the first point of contact between the people and government, the custodian of harmony within the village, and a leader entrusted with serving every resident regardless of political affiliation.
To all contestants, I encourage you to conduct issue-based campaigns founded on integrity, humility, and respect for your opponents. Leadership is not measured by the ability to divide people, but by the ability to unite them behind a common purpose. Let your words inspire hope rather than hatred, and let your conduct demonstrate the values you seek to represent.
To the voters, I urge you to elect leaders based on character, competence, honesty, and commitment to community service—not on personal friendships & temporary incentives.
