Members from the DJs Association forum yesterday met Police Spokesperson and AIGP Asan Kasingye to complain about mistreatment by singers. They claimed they have been victims of assault and other crimes especially from established musicians who beat them up for failing to play their music in clubs.
“As a former DJ at the University, we discussed a wide range of issues including strengthening the organization and its objectives, to know that competition is healthy, hence shouldn’t fight rival organizations, reporting musicians who abuse them and destroy their equipment, avoid misuse of drugs and alcohol, forming SACCOs to advance financial stability,” Asan Kasingye said. The Police boss will grace their inauguration which is set to be held soon.
