Yesterday Saturday, the Diocese of Northwest Ankole headed by Bishop Right Reverand Amos Magezi launched a partnership with Kagiira Skills Development Centre to promote modern agricultural practices in the Diocese.
The team will promote enterprises like Diary Farming focusing on zero grazing, local poultry production , piggery, mushroom production, horticulture, goat rearing, rabbit reading and commercial fodder production.
The Bishop pledged to support at least one enterprise at each parish with support from Kagiira Skills Development Centre.
He emphasised that this fits well in the Diocesean Strategic plan under the pillar of social transformation.
The partnership comes at a time when the government is putting a lot of effort in the modernisation of Agriculture.
