One of Africa’s most conscious stains of shame are the thousands of dilapidated roads, water logged roads, roads with no drainage system and habitation for frogs which litter every nook and corner of the continent. Africa’s road network remain a huge embarrassment causing deaths, high cost of goods and services and low value for property.

Pan African development conglomerate, Development Channel performed something to close to a miracle with a dilapidated road in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria. The organization did not only tarmac the road adding working drainage systems but practically turned the road to a walk through museum of African countries profiles.

The road was built in record time with the organization’s own resources after the residents had made pleas to various government agencies for assistance to no avail.
Development Channel whose interest in the road came from a product fulfillment center it was constructing in the area decided to take on the project, proverbially turning the lemon to lemonade.
