Deputy Speaker launches Umeme Ishaka-Rukungiri 33KV Feeder 

Deputy Speaker of Parliament Rt Hon Thomas Tayebwa who also doubles as the Member of Parliament for Ruhinda North constituency in Mitooma District has launched the Umeme Ltd electricity distribution programme for refurbishment works of Ishaka-Rukungiri 33kV feeder, from which extension of power lines to Rucence-Rweibare, Katerampungu and Rutooma villages in Ruhinda North will be connected. This was on Monday.

The Deputy Speaker also commissioned Kati water project that will serve Kashenshero, Kanyabwanga and Kigyende Sub- Counties in his constituency.

He thanked Umeme Ltd’s Managing Director  Selestino Babungi for visiting Ruhinda North.

While in the constituency, Rt Hon Tayebwa also inspected the ongoing construction and renovation of Kanyabwanga HC III and was impressed with the works.

He handed over 30 hospital beds, mattresses, blankets and Mama Kits which will be distributed to Bitereko, Rwoburunga and Kanyabwanga HC III.
