COVID-19 infections continue to rise in Uganda as 98 new cases are reported

The Ministry of Health has today announced 98 new cases of COVID-19 and one death.

Results of COVID-19 tests done on 25 August 2020 confirm 98 new cases. The cumulative confirmed cases of Ugandans to-date is 2,524.

One new COVID-19 death recorded today. The total COVID-19 deaths are now 26 with Recoveries of 1,268.

In related development, Mulago National Referral Hospital has been closed as a COVID-19 sample collection site for all individuals.

Mulago NRH will remain an isolation and COVID-19 Treatment Unit ONLY for all patients who have been confirmed for COVID-19.

Other sections of Mulago National Referral Hospital (Upper Mulago) remain open to the public to ensure diagnosis and treatment of other medical conditions. Follow all the SOPs and stay safe..
