Bugolobi based hangout Jazzville located on Bandali Rise is set to celebrate International Women’s Day with a special performance from Code 9 Band featuring Iryn Namubiru.
“On March 8, Friday we will have a special Code 9 band performance featuring Iryn Namubiru on International Women’s Day performing songs to celebrate women. On this day we will also be launching our plan for the year to tackle Gender Equality in the country. We extend a special invitation to you to join us on this special Code 9 performance March 8th from 9pm,” Esteeri said.
“Code 9 is excited to be part of the sustainable goals program. We believe that through our partnership we can develop actionable activities to make aware, sensitive, and help with gender inequality in the country,” She added.
Jazzville is a Restaurant and Lounge live entertainment venue that produces comedy, live band, and various shows across the week. Last month Jazzville and, Code 9, the in house live band, were promoted as UN Ambassadors for Gender Equality. On February 15th, Jazzville launched to a fan-fare whereby the head of UN, United Nations Country Directors, and prominent members came to celebrate the launch. “We have become partners with United Nations and are looking to spread those partnerships with government, NGOs, and embassies to push for gender equality in the country,” Esteeri said.
