Ntinda: C-Care Uganda marked a significant milestone in its journey of delivering quality healthcare by beginning its celebration of 30 Years of Caring with a vibrant community activation at Capital Shoppers Ntinda. This journey commenced in 1996 under the leadership of Dr. Ian Clarke, with a vision to raise the standard of healthcare in Uganda. The event brought together members of the public and healthcare professionals in a blend of service, celebration, and reflection on three decades of impact.

C-Care Uganda has evolved into one of the country’s most respected healthcare networks, strengthening healthcare delivery through institutions such as International Hospital Kampala and International Medical Centres. The activation showed C-Care’s enduring commitment to accessible and people-centred healthcare.

At its core was a large-scale community outreach initiative that provided free health services, including blood pressure screenings, Malaria Screening, Hepatitis, Diabetes screening, Syphilis, HIV testing, and general wellness checks.

Hundreds of participants benefited from these services, reinforcing the organisation’s mission to make quality healthcare more accessible to all.

The atmosphere was charged with energy and excitement, reflecting both the legacy and future of the C-Care brand. A standout moment of the day was the Legacy & Future flash mob performance, which creatively symbolised the organisation’s evolution over the past 30 years and its forward-looking vision. The performance featured professional dancers alongside the C-Care brand mascot, captivating audiences and showcasing a renewed commitment to community connection.

Ms Sheila Aboth, Head of Brand and Client Experience at C-Care, highlighted the significance of the milestone and the organisation’s continued focus on community impact during the event. “When we asked the people, we serve how they feel about C-Care, they told us they trust us, they respect us, and they believe we will keep growing stronger. We don’t take that lightly. To the people of Uganda, thank you for trusting us for 30 years. We celebrate 30 years of caring for good, and we are just getting started,” she said.

Members of the public who attended the activation expressed appreciation for the initiative, particularly the accessibility of free health services. Fatuma Ntale shared, “I came here just out of curiosity, but I ended up receiving a health check that I had been putting off for months. It means a lot to have such services brought closer to us. C-Care has shown that they genuinely care about our well-being.”

The 30-year milestone also reflects a rich legacy built through the evolution of trusted healthcare institutions, including International Hospital Kampala (IHK) and International Medical Centres (IMC), which transitioned into C-Care Uganda. This transformation marked a new chapter, bringing together years of medical excellence, patient trust, and community presence under one unified brand. After 20 years of growth, the organisation entered a new chapter when it became part of the CIEL Group, incorporating new energy and broader expertise while remaining true to its legacy.

This celebration honors the journey of growth, integration, and renewed purpose. As C-Care continues growing, the focus remains to inspire a healthier future by strengthening community engagement, enhancing service delivery, and ensuring that quality healthcare remains within reach for all.
