Bryan White Foundation team visits proud farmer projects
Excited Bettina takes them around her farms
A delegation from Bryan White Foundation has paid a visit to proud farmer Bettina Tumuhaise’s farms in Vumba, Kakoni, Ndeeba in Kalagala Sub County in Luweero district. The foundation’s team was a fact finding and mission tour to establish the extent of Bettina Farming project ahead a mega visit by the entire foundation team led by CEO Bryan White next week.
During the tour, Bettina took the team to a number of different projects seated on a 26-acre land. The projects include piggery, maize, beans, banana plantation, coffee, forestry (eucalyptus), washing bay, parking yard and rentals.
Bettina described herself as a passionate farmer who has been doing farming for the last 4 years now.
The team was impressed with Bettina’s huge project which needs a dedicated hard working farmer to succeed.
“I am happy that in the first place the Foundation offered to pay me a visit which was something I didn’t expect and the fact that they came and I showed them around and took them through a tutorial,” Bettina said.
“I am only excited that he promised to give me a hand on my projects. I can’t hide my excitement,” she added.
Bettina was last week invited to the foundation podium where she presented a proposal and budget for her farmers in Vumba.
The foundation is set to provide the tools she asked for and thereafter Bryan White will address a group of farmers gathered by Bettina Tumuhaise on how the foundation will provide continued support in their activities.
Bryan White Foundation’s mission is to awaken the youths from poverty and restore hope among the youths and the general public.
