Yesterday there was excitement and hope at The Remnant Generation Centre as Miss Uganda North America Queen Vanessa Nansamba and Miss Oregon USA Katerina visited the place and donated a number of items.
The Remnant Generation is an emergency and permanent shelter and rehabilitation center for teen moms who have been rescued from situations of sexual abuse and domestic violence.
The ladies visited the center’s Princess Shelter, where a holistic approach is applied to supporting pregnant girls through their pregnancy to safe delivery.
They also visited the center’s School of Promise, which provides quality early childhood education to the babies born or adopted at the center.
Queen Vanessa urged the teen moms to never forget that their dreams are valid, and she promised to stay in touch and continue to help the center raise funds.
The Miss Uganda North America Leadership Program and Different Better with a Purpose, together with Equity Bank Uganda and All In Trade, donated new sewing machines and an eco stove to the center.
Queen Katerina praised the wonderful attitude of the ladies at the center and praised the bravery with which they have faced their past.
