Angella Katatumba receives Lifetime Achievement Award

After just recently partnering with the Diplomatic Corps to hand over a cheque of 185,000,000M ($ 52,000 USD) UGX to the Uganda Cancer Institute (UCI) in support of her “Mulago Yaffe” campaign, singer Angella Katatumba has been rewarded for her humanitarian work.

Angella who also doubles as the acting Honorary Consul of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Uganda, was on Saturday 17th June 2017 given the Lifetime Achievement award by the Rotary Club, at an event at which she also served as the Chief Guest.

This comes at a time when the singer and acting Honorary Consul of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Uganda is gearing up for a charity drive slated for Friday 30th of June 2017 at Hotel Africana, Nile Hall.

The charity drive is an initiative missioned to fundraise for the construction of a home for Angel’s Center children with special needs.

Angel’s Center in Nansana, takes care of kids with mental challenges to help them become self sufficient individuals in the future.

The center’s goal is to accommodate at least 300 kids as opposed to the current 30 kids.

Angella will be performing at the event and with her amazing vocals, it is without a doubt that she will give a memorable performance.
