Airtel Uganda rewards winners in ‘Sukuma Cash’ Promotion
Kampala: Airtel Uganda has today handed over cash to Airtel Money subscribers and agents as part of the 90-day Airtel Money promotion known as Sukuma Cash.
Sukuma Cash is a promotion on Airtel Money that has slashed rates for sending money by up to 60%. As part of the promotion, 22 customers and 3 Agents stand a chance to win UGX500, 000daily for the 90 day period while 7 lucky customers and 3 Agents stand a chance to win an all-expenses paid trip to watch the Uganda Cranes live at AFCON in Egypt.
The handover was graced by Owek. Robert Waggwa Nsibirwa, the 2nd Deputy Katikkiro of Buganda, who encouraged the winners to use their winnings to improve their lives.
“I am honored to be here today as Airtel rewards the winners of the Sukuma cash promotion As you all know, Airtel Uganda is our telecom partner with whom we signed the Airtel-K2 partnership agreement. It therefore gives us pleasure to see our people greatly benefitting through this worthy agreement,” he remarked.
Airtel Uganda Head of Financial Services Mr. Andrew Rugamba congratulated the winners and reiterated Airtel’s commitment to providing reliable and affordable services as well as rewarding subscribers through exciting promotion such as this one.
“Last week, we rewarded 150 winners and we are rewarding more this week. In Sukuma Cash, everyone is a winner. We cut the transaction fees by 60% which means that whenever you send money, you are making a saving,” he noted.
To stand a chance to win, subscribers simply have to dial *185# and send money or carry out any other Airtel Money transactions like pay bills, pay school fees buy data, voice as well as voice bundles.
