AFCON Qualifier – Buy Tickets Conveniently Through Airtel Money

The Uganda Cranes face Cape Verde this Saturday in a historical match that if won will qualify them to play in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON). As the match draws closer, Airtel has announced a modification on their Airtel Money platform that will enable subscribers to directly purchase their tickets.

As part of this modification, subscribers will simply have to dial *185*5#, enter number of tickets (ordinary tickets), enter pin number and send. Additionally, Airtel will place a ticket redemption tent at Namboole for quick and easy ticket redemption.

Commenting about this innovation, Airtel Uganda Managing Director Mr. V.G. Somasekhar encouraged all Ugandans to go and support their national team as they make history.

To buy tickets on mobile money follow the following prompts;

• Dial *185*5#
• Enter number of tickets (ordinary tickets)
• Enter pin number and send

Subscribers will then receive a confirmation message with a 10 digit reference number which they will present at the Airtel ticket Redemption tent which will be located at the Northern gate entrance (16).
