Last night in Kasese, Uganda Tourism Board (UTB) hosted the inaugural Uganda Cultural Night, bringing together runners and guests ahead of the 5th edition of the Tusker Lite Rwenzori Marathon slated for today morning.

With over 40 countries represented at this year’s edition, the evening was a celebration of Uganda’s rich culture, music, dance and heritage, while also recognising the different nations that have made the journey to Uganda for the race.

“Beyond the kilometres that will be covered on the road, moments like these depict the power of sports tourism to bring people and cultures together, while giving our international visitors a deeper experience of the Pearl of Africa,” Juliana Kagwa, UTB CEO said.
