8 people test positive for Coronavirus in Uganda

The Minister of Health Hon. Jane Ruth Aceng has confirmed that 8 people have tested positive for Coronavirus (COVID-19) making the 9 in total. 

6 cases were detected at the airport while 2 were from quarantine. The minister has appealed to everyone who travelled to Dubai in the past 14 days to call the ministry’s desk and be tested.

“Eight new cases of COVID-19 confirmed in Uganda bringing the total number to 9.
The 8 cases are Ugandan nationals who travelled back from Dubai, UAE aboard Ethiopian airlines and Emirates flights,” Hon. Jane Ruth Aceng said at a press conference.
