Mbarara City Woman Member of Parliament, Hon. Kibaaju Charity Kamuhanda, has donated 50 bags of cement towards the construction of a girls’ dormitory at Nyamitanga Secondary School in Mbarara City.

Hon. Kibaaju delivered the cement on Saturday during a fundraising drive held at the school, shortly after attending a similar function in Katebe.

Speaking at the event, the legislator reaffirmed her commitment to girl-child education, saying an educated girl is an empowered nation.

“I went to Nyamitanga Secondary School after Katebe for a fundraising for the girls’ dormitory where I delivered 50 bags of cement. Educate a girl, empower a nation,” Hon. Kibaaju said.

The MP noted that the contribution is part of her broader agenda of improving service delivery and supporting education infrastructure in Mbarara City.

School administrators and parents hailed Hon. Kibaaju for her timely intervention, describing her as a leader who has demonstrated consistent service delivery less than a year after assuming office.

Nyamitanga Secondary School is currently facing accommodation challenges due to the rising enrollment of girls, making the dormitory project a top priority.
