With 2026 Parliamentary Elections around the corner, today we highlight why Hon. Mafabi Asha Nabulo, the NRM flag bearer for Sironko District deserves to be more than their district Woman MP from 2026.

After she was controversially defeated in 2021, Hon. Mafabi Asha Nabulo did not abandon the people of Sironko. She went to the ground and the rest is history.

To show her cause in uplifting the people of Sironko District, Ms Mafabi Asha Nabulo set up Mafabi Asha Foundation (MAF) to carter for needs and create hope among the people and this has happened since 2020.

Below we bring you what Ms Mafabi Asha Nabulo has so far done for Sironko through her foundation even she doesn’t have the mandate of the people yet.

Since its inception in 2020, Mafabi Asha Foundation (MAF) has been able to offer the following services;-

Health
All Health Centers IIIs & IVs have received mattresses for inpatients, Blankets supplied to inpatients, Mama Kits supplied, Tents for immunization supplied, Patients with jiggers treated, Patients with eye problems treated, Eye lenses provided, Medical stretchers supplied, Free medical camps conducted, Wheelchairs supplied to the PWDs, Medical trolleys given, Hearing aides (equipments) provided to some patients, Air Fans provided to some health facilities, Water tanks supplied, First Aid kits provided and White Canes provided.

Education
Water tanks provided.
Sponsored best performing students at ‘O’ & ‘A’ levels every academic year since 2021.
Sanitary pads supplied.
Co-curricula activities supported.
Assessment exams for P.5, P.6 & P.7 given.
Boreholes drilled in some schools.
School bags provided to some learners.
Computers secured for some schools.
Solar powered water wells constructed in some schools.
Academic tours supported in some schools.
AGM meetings supported in some schools and Skilling centers established in Budadiri East & West.

Community
Albino fraternity supported.
Teenage mothers supported.
Community widows’ groups supported.
Community Savings Groups supported.
Bicycles bought for some members.
Food baskets bought for some women groups.
Baby milk supplied to some juvenile orphans.
Meat slaughters conducted during festive days.
Ready meals supplied to the victims of mudslides & floods.
Boreholes drilled in many sub counties.
Gomes bought for some women in the community.
Tents and chairs bought for some community groups (Youths & Women).
Financial support given to some catering groups and Reflector Jackets given to Boda Boda riders, drivers and conductors.
Donated sewing and tailoring machines to several women in the area which have them in income generation.

Infrastructure
Local road gangs supported.
Rural electrification program supported.
Pipe water/gravity schemes repaired.
Protected wells constructed in some sub counties and solar panels secured for some savings groups and schools.

Jobs/Employment opportunities
Many youths have been connected to different local industries & factories in Iganga,Tororo, Kampala, Mbale & Jinja by the foundation.

The foundation has built more than 50 boreholes. 8 are solar powered 3 pump 100ltrs per minute and 5 pump 40 litres per minute.

She has already lobbied for an orphanage, and the construction will start next year.

Agriculture
Spray pumps supplied to some community farmer groups.
Farm inputs (seeds, fertilizers, pesticides) supplied to some community farm groups.
Agriculture experts sourced & facilitated to train local farmers in commercial agriculture.
Poultry chicks supplied to some community groups and Machines for value addition lobbied for the local farmers, (Maize Mill & Tomato Processor).

Environment
Local tree species seedlings supplied.
Fruit tree seedlings supplied, (Oranges, Mangos, Jackfruits).
Napia grass supplied to some farmers to check soil loss in the mountains.
Bamboo trees supplied to plant along river banks and Rubbish tins supplied in big trading centers.

Games & Sports
Community based games supported.
Balls & Jerseys bought for different teams in sub counties.
First Aid kits provided for some teams.
Transport means provided to some teams that move to play from outside Sironko.

Religious Centers
Prayer chairs given to some Mosques.
Choir uniforms supplied to some churches.
Hijabs provided to some Muslim women.
Shrouds supplied to some Mosques.
Fundraisings supported in some churches.
Some religious leaders’ activities funded, (Seminars, Retreats, Workshops) and
Construction of Mosques & church structures supported in some areas.

Disaster Victims
Mattresses supplied.

Renovation of damaged houses done and Construction of some destroyed buildings.

Ms Mafabi Asha Nabulo is committed to doing more for the wanaichi people in Sironko District through Mafabi Asha Foundation (MAF).

If Asha Nabulo can do such without the power and mandate imagine what she will do if she is elected as the Sironko District Woman MP.
