The Coordinator of Sports and Games at the Office of the National Chairman (ONC) of NRM, Mr. Seith Murari has announced officially that he will contest for the Mayor of Mbarara City in 2026.
He made the announcement yesterday and it was received with joy by the city residents who affectionately refer to him as “Muzahura wa Etawuni Yeitu” ( The savior of our City). He will now tussle it out with the incumbent Mr
Robert Kakyebezi.
Seith’s announcement has triggered the earthquake kind of sound to the Kakyebezi camp. Mr. Murari told this website that he wants to restore total glory in Mbarara and hope and he will use his connection to attract top investors in the city and to lobby for increased government share. He wants to create hundreds and thousands of job opportunities for the youth in the city.
Seith Murari who had earlier planned to contest for Member of Parliament is now seen as the new hope for the biggest city in Western Uganda. Together with his team, Mr. Seith has hit the ground running mobilizing for support.
“Mbarara people give me the mandate, let us build our City together,” he said.
Seith has been instrumental in Mbarara and is one of the organizers of the annual ‘Save River Rwizi Marathon’, whose cause is to restore and safeguard the only water body in Mbarara.
