2026 Updates: Part VI of who is who in the race for the 12th Parliament

We bring you more list of individuals who have announced their intentions to contest for the MP seats in the forthcoming elections.

Ochola Mouldon Felix
He wants to contest for  MP West Budama North East. He is a lawyer and Educationist married with 4 children. He is a japadhola and subscribes to National Unity Platform (NUP) Party.

Akuku AP Richard
He is set for Adjumani East Constituency in Adjumani District. He is an international humanitarian Affairs Specialist and come 2026, he wants to be in the 12th Parliament.

He is on NRM party ticket. He is a brand of creative and innovative community development icon.

Nabudomba Moses
He is set to contest in Budadiri East Constituency in Sironko District. He hails from Masaba Sub County.

He has a bachelor of Arts in philosophy and religious studies from the Pontifical Urbaniana University in Rome.

He has Diplomas in the following fields;

a) Metaphysics and cosmology from the AJ affiliate institute in Nairobi.

b) diploma in educational psychology from Hekima Institute of Philosophy.

c) Philosophy of science from the University of Nairobi and many other honors in educational studies.

He is business man based in Kampala with a visionary focus on human rights development among the rural citizens of Uganda. He is also the CEO of BUWODA, that’s Bukissa Windows of Development Agency, an NGO focusing on water and sanitation supported by the government of Norway.

Otiti Lawrence Christ

This young man is set for Northern Youth MP as an Independent candidate. He believes that the challenges faced by the youth in the North can be mitigated when the young people are Empowered, and Engaged and Elevated to perform critical task in the region ( changing our status shall depend on our creativity ).

His non partisan agenda aims at uniting all the youth of Northern Uganda so as to forge a path to prosperity and a more secured future.

Moses Kabere Musene
He is set to contest for Kabweri County in Kikubu District. The 32-year old is a banker and accountant and has already set the ground running. He is on NUP Party ticket.

Onesmus Naturinda
He wants to contest for Kajara Constituency in Ntungamo District. He calls himself “The Filter of Kajara”.

Esabu John Francis
Rtd W02 Esabu John Francis wants to contest for the post of MP for Butebo Constituency in Butebo District come 2026. He is on the ground doing support mobilisation already.

Acellam Moris
He is set to contest for the MP seat of Kilak South in Amuru District. , He says he is ready to kick out Hon.Gilbert Oulanya away from his seat come 2026. He is currently a teacher in Nsamizi Primary School Entebbe. He studied at Keyo Primary School Amuru and Kigumba High School.

He has Bachelors from Mutesa University, Masters from Ndejje, Diploma from Mutesa and Grade lll teaching certificate from Ngora PTC. “So comes 2026 Gilbert Oulanya will be away from that post,” he said.

Gabriel Mpoza
He is a teacher by professional with a Bachelors degree in education and has been a teacher for the last 15 years. He says his MP would be good but his most weakness is one he has shown to the entire world that Mityana Municipality needs nothing except to oppose each and every program a government has.

Gabriel says Mityana needs a member who can restore hope in the government and people of Mityana Municipality.

That life is not the way they see it with Hon. Zaake. “manyi mapya Nkola mpya . Birowoozo Bipya”

Rubin Ogech
He is set to contest for the MP of Dokolo North County in Dokolo District. He is already laying his plans ahead of the battle.

Misairi Kubali
He wants to contest for the Member of Parliament (MP) for Iki Iki County in Budaka District.  The 28 year-old holds a  bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology and a Diploma in Business Administration.

He says the current member of parliament Hon.Robert Kasolo ever since he was elected, he has abandoned them.

“It’s like they told him never to step back to the constituency to see how his people live, he has totally ignored his constituency and this has forced me to come and rescue my people. I am coming on NUP Party ticket,”  Kubali said.

Emudong Moses
He is vying for Member of Parliament for Kumi County in Kumi District.  Emudong Moses holds a bachelors in Urban Planning and a post graduate diploma in Urban Governance and Management.

The 40- year old says he wants to give his people of abit of Kumi County saying they have already felt him so let him complete when 2026 time comes. The incumbent Hon. Okasai the Minister for Energy is not at rest because of Moses. Watch the space!!!

Omara Abraham
He is vying for the MP of Oyam South County. He is teacher , paralegal and a diplomat who will foster work for everyone and with any one to promote development.

Bruti Jaliru
He wants to contest for the MP Budaka County Constituency come 2026-2031. He is a teacher and an education psychologist with BAeduc and MED- psychology.

Mwaka Muhammed
He will be running for Budiope East Constituency in Buyende District come 2026.

Ngobi Rwayan
He is set to tussle it out for Kagoma North Constituency in Jinja come 2026 NUP Party ticket.

Okudo Emmanuel

He is born of Odeperio village Kibale Parish, Kibale Sub -County in Pallisa District. He is set to contest for the MP Kibale County in Pallisa District on NUP Party ticket come 2026.

Aston Nahamya Rwankore

He wants to contest for the Youth MP for Western Uganda. He is already doing ground work mobilizing for the support.

Mugalula Masuudih Saleh
He is set to contest for Bbaale County MP in Kayunga District on NUP Party ticket. He is already on the ground mobilizing for support. He says all is set.

Mugalula born in early 2000s grew up from a humble background in Kayunga. He attended St. Jude PS Kakooge where he served as Games and Sports prefect then joined Nalinya Irene Ndagire, Merryland HS Entebbe and St. Michael HS Sonde Mukono after which he joined Management Training and Advisory Centre (MTAC) where he obtained a Diploma in Accounting and Finance. He also served as the Guild President of MTAC.

Mukuve Birali Batulunte

He is set to contest for Bugiri Municipality on Independent ticket. He says all is set for his campaigns.

Kyarikunda Vanansio
He is an aspiring MP for Kibale Constituency Kamwenge District 2026-2031. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Uganda Christian University (UCU), Diploma in Business Administration from Nkumba University, Diploma in tourism and hotel management from YMCA, Banker by profession. PLU and NRM member. He is patriotic and democratic in nature.
