Ms Winifred Nakandi who contested for Nakawa East MP seat 2026 on Democratic Front (DF) party ticket and lost said she remains steadfast in their resolve to bring about desirable change in Uganda’s leadership. Speaking after last week’s elections loss, Ms Nakandi said although the results did not favour her, she remains firm in her quest for leadership change in the country. She also applauded the people of Nakawa East for the support rendered to her.

“On January 15th, amidst significant electoral malpractice and irregularities, the people of Nakawa East went to the polls to choose their President and Parliamentary Representatives for the next five years. The result did not favor us, but we remain steadfast in our resolve to bring about desirable change in Uganda. I thank my team and the people who believed in our message. Thank you, Nakawa East,” Winifred Nakandi said.
