Rujumbura County in Rukungiri District MP Hon. Jim Muhwezi has said reviving and modernising education institutions has been his core in Rujumbura and wants to continue that beyond 2026.
“Reviving and modernizing educational institutions at all levels in Rujumbura has been a central focus of my manifesto,” he said.
The Minister has done this through collaborative efforts with stakeholders and significant progress has been made.
Under his leadership, he recently launched the renovation of Rutooma Vocational Center in Buhunga in Rujumbura.
Hon. Jim Muhwezi, the retired army officer and politician has confirmed to us that he wants to contest again in 2026.
In related development, Hon. Jim Muhwezi welcomed over 260 active members of FDC Party including their leaders & mobilisers in Bugangari Sub-county who voluntarily crossed to the NRM Party.
This follows a recent wave of their colleagues from Nyakagyeme, Buhunga, and Ruhinda who have already joined the ruling party.
