19 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Uganda

The Ministry of Health has announced detection of 19 new cases of COVID-19, a disease caused by Coronavirus in the country.

Results from 2,170 samples tested on 29 June 2020 confirm 19 new COVID-19 cases. Total confirmed COVID-19 cases are now 889 in Uganda.

11 of the confirmed cases are returnees from Afghanistan who were under quarantine at the time of test.

Uganda has so far registered COVID-19 recoveries of 819 with no death.
