172 Winners Turned into Millionaires in ‘Beera Millionaire with Airtel Money’ Promotion

Today, Airtel Uganda rewarded another batch of winners in the fourth draw of their ongoing Airtel money based promotion ‘Beera Millionaire with Airtel Money’.

Since its launch in December 2018, the promotion which is now entering its fifth week has so far turned 172 subscribers into millionaires and four lucky agents into motorbike owners for simply transacting using the Airtel Money platform.

Nuwenyine Hamson, a clothes vendor based in Mukono took home this week’s weekly grand prize of 10 million shillings. Hamson could barely contain his excitement as he told his winning story.

“I simply sent some money to my parents using Airtel Money and imagine my surprise when I received a call. For all those people who are in doubt, I am living proof. Today I am a winner,” he exclaimed.

“I encourage all of you to transact with Airtel Money, this could be you,” he added.

Nuwenyine was joined by many other winners including Juliet Meme an elderly farmer from Bembe, David Kiyengo an elderly gentleman from Makerere and Charles Nsereko a UPDF officer from Kakiri.  

The ‘Beera Millionaire with Airtel Money’, will continue to run until February 2019 and all winners will be rewarded on a weekly basis. Subscribers carrying out transactions such as cash deposits and withdrawals, sending cash, buying Airtime or Data, sending cash straight from Bank to Wallet, Wallet to Bank & Bill Payment in a single day all stand a chance to win cash daily and weekly. All active financial transacting agents also stand a chance to win during this promotion.

Commenting about the promotion, Airtel Money Director Mr. Moris Sseguya congratulated Hamson and the other winners and encouraged them to continue transacting and stand a chance to win more money.

As part of the ongoing promotion, all participating customers and agent numbers will be uploaded into a randomizer to pick the lucky winners. Five lucky customers will win 1 million shillings each (5 million shillings daily, 1 million for each) and 1 lucky customer will win 10 million shillings in the weekly grand draw. 1 lucky agent will stand a chance to win 1 million shillings daily and 1 lucky agent will win 1 motorbike in theweekly draw.
