Airtel Uganda Launches Network as a Service (NaaS), Powered by Cisco
New enterprise solution empowers businesses to focus on growth, not infrastructure
Kampala; Airtel Uganda, in partnership with Cisco, has today launched Network as a Service (NaaS) – a subscription-based enterprise solution that allows businesses to access scalable, secure, and fully managed network infrastructure without the need for upfront investment in hardware.
The launch event, held at Kampala Serena Hotel, was attended by customers, Cisco executives, members of the media, and Airtel Uganda’s leadership team. The event showcased how the NaaS solution aligns with Airtel Uganda’s vision of enabling digital transformation for businesses across the country.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Rajesh Agarwal, Network Director at Airtel Uganda, said: “At Airtel, we believe in a Uganda where businesses can focus on what they do best – serving customers, creating jobs, and innovating. With Network as a Service, we’re removing the burden of managing complex IT infrastructure. This is a shift in how enterprise networking is done.”
Designed for enterprises of all sizes, NaaS enables businesses to:
Scale network resources on demand
Enjoy built-in security with firewalls, encryption, and compliance
Access global-grade infrastructure with local support.
Receive 24/7 dedicated technical assistance
The solution is powered by Cisco, a global leader in networking technology, and tailored to meet the unique needs of Ugandan enterprises — whether they’re startups in Bugolobi or multinationals with a footprint across East Africa.
Mr. Javed Johar the accountant Executive CISCO Architecture, noted: “We’re proud to partner with Airtel Uganda on this transformative solution. Businesses today need networks that are agile, secure, and intelligent. NaaS delivers exactly that while freeing up internal teams to focus on innovation.”

With this launch, Airtel Uganda reaffirms its commitment to powering the nation’s digital economy with reliable, innovative, and inclusive services.
