Uganda Tourism Board (UTB) said they were proud to partner in the official launch of the 5th edition of the Tusker Lite Mt. Rwenzori Marathon which was held last week and also proud to be partner of this edition until the race day on August 22nd 2026.
This year’s marathon promises to be bigger, bolder, and unforgettable — attracting global runners while showcasing the breathtaking beauty of the Rwenzori region. Beyond sport, the event continues to drive tourism, community development, health, and national pride.
The Tusker Lite Rwenzori Marathon organized by Mr. Amos Wekesa of Great Lakes Safaris, is now a World Athletics Label Road Race after it became World Athletics Certified Marathon last week.
