Uganda Zaabu; Rolex Festival season 1 starts off with a mark
Yesterday’s first ever Kampala Rolex Festival started off on a good note at Uganda Museum. The event dubbed Rolex Festival Season I was a successful surprise to organizers.
The event started off at 10:00am and saw Kampala social event lovers storming the area in big numbers. The minimum cost of a Rolex was 5k with the maximum at 15K.
Originally Rolex was made of a chappati rolled with eggs and vegetables, however yesterday it was more spiced with chicken, beef and vegetables.
Political figures such as Maria Emily Lubega Mutagamba and tourism officials from Ministry of Tourism and Busoga region where the Rolex delicacy is believed to have originated, graced the festival.
The brain behind Rolex Festival, Enid Mirembe said she was over whelmed by attendance and the support Ugandans showed towards the event. She plans to make it an annual event.
The evening was climaxed with entertainments from DJs, Live band and from singers Maro and Geo Steady as well as other upcoming singers. The event ended towards midnight.
