There is growing battle for supremacy between the two top richest guys in West Nile and people have failed to understand who among the two is richer than the other. The two tycoons at the centre of the battle are Mr. Bob Oyoma and Mr. Vincent Okaba.
Okaba deals in fuel, transport and real estate. He owns Petrol station in each district in Northern Uganda and some other parts of Uganda under Rock Oils Limited, owns many transportation trucks as well as the biggest real estate in Nsasa, Kira Municipality, Wakiso District. He is currently putting up the biggest mall in Nebbi town.
On the other hand, Bob owns the biggest factory in West Nile which deals in brewery and manufacturing local brew under Kombucha Alcoholic Drinks which are sold across the country. He is also into real estate in Kampala and also owns hundreds of transportation trucks in West Nile.

Their battle for supremacy has caused fear among the people of West Nile because when you associate with Bob you are no longer a friend to Okaba and when you associate with Okaba you are no longer a friend with Bob. While Okaba associates with high class big people, Bob deals with the local class people who most of them consume his Kombucha Alcoholic Drinks products.
In the recent election, Bob stood against Okaba for the chairperson Entrepreneurship League in Nebbi and when Okaba learnt that Bob is standing against him, he pulled out of the race making Bob to go through unopposed. This has intensified the battle which went on during Parliamentary and local council elections. Bob was not supporting the area MP Hon. Isaac while Okaba was. In the same way, Okaba was also not supporting the Nebbi LC5 chairman while Bob was. Interestingly the two candidates won their elections.

The two fighting tycoons (Bob and Okaba) are cousins who come from the same village as the area MP Hon. Isaac (Padyere County) and the LC5 boss Mr. Othuba George.
The two tycoons are organizing parallel Thanksgiving services for their respective leaders which is going to take place in the same village. This is now where the voters are making alarm that why is the Thanksgiving going to happen in a place where all the four come from. The voters are saying why are they doing their Thanksgiving in Parombo where they come from as if other sub counties didn’t vote them. They also want to eat the cake and are calling for venue change.
The area cultural and religious leaders have failed to unite these two tycoons and now the West Nilers are calling on the President of Uganda Yoweri Kaguta Museveni to intervene and solve the issues because it is getting out of hand. Watch the space!!!
