Two new COVID-19 cases registered in Uganda as two truck drivers test positive

Some of the recovered were sent home on Wednesday

The Ministry of Health has confirmed 2 new cases of COVID-19 today bringing the total number in the country to 63.

Case one is a 43 year old Tanzanian truck driver who is a contact to a previously confirmed case.

Case 2 is also 35 year old Tanzanian truck driver who arrived from Tanzania at Mutukula border from Dar-es-Salaam.

Total Confirmed Cases of COVID-19 :63 while Total COVID-19 recoveries: 45

Some of the recovered were sent home on Wednesday

Director General Heath Services Dr. Henry Mwebesa said efforts are underway to evacuate the 35 year old to Entebbe Grade B hospital for treatment.
