Government Chief Whip Hon Thomas Tayebwa who doubles as the MP for Ruhinda North County has welcomed today’s endorsement as Deputy Speaker.
The NRM Central Executive Committee endorsed Hon Thomas Tayebwa in Deputy Speaker position unopposed on NRM ticket for 11th Parliament.
“Thank you colleagues for endorsing me unopposed for Deputy Speaker on NRM ticket,” Hon Thomas Tayebwa said.
The elections for Speaker to replace fallen Speaker Rt Hon Jacob Oulanyah and Deputy will take place this Friday. Anita Annet Among who has been his Deputy resigned and was endorsed by NRM CEC as the candidate for the speakership on NRM ticket.
