And the good news is that those who would like to attend from Uganda need not to worry as Breathtaking Uganda has been appointed to handle the convention’s local marketing activities and bookings.
In an official communication to Breathtaking Uganda’s CEO Mr. Isaiah Jobs Rwanyekiro, ICOB’s organizing committee chairperson Ms Sarah Sebikari-Rukunda says ICOB has agreed to partner with Breathtaking Uganda formerly Fernando Tours for group ticketing, travel logistics and marketing of the ICOB-NJ 2019 in Uganda.
“We are excited to have Breathtaking Uganda on board” Says part of the communication
In the following communication, Mr. Rwanyekiro CEO and Founder Breathtaking Uganda as well as the Breathtaking Uganda team have also been invited to attend the event with Rwanyekiro being given an opportunity to be one of the speakers discussing and sharing knowledge and insights generated from managing and executing “The Breathtaking Uganda” digital media promotional campaign.
This year’s convention theme is Innovation Driven Tourism. This is building on last year’s Convention Theme and Program that focused on Tourism as an Engine of Uganda’s Development.
The focus of this year’s Convention will be to:
Showcase Uganda as a priority tourist destination;
Present and promote the case for sustainable tourism in Uganda;
Explore tourism beyond the national parks and animal tracking (e.g. film tourism, sports tourism, culinary tourism);
Learn about tourism promotion and management in the Information Age;
Create an opportunity for Ugandan tourism operators and entrepreneurs to promote their businesses and to network with American tourism operators and companies;
Showcase Uganda’s traditional music and dance;
Mr. Rwanyekiro will also make a 30-minute presentation to the Convention on the project Breathtaking Uganda is currently working on to document Uganda’s beauty.
Acknowledging the partnership, the visibly excited Isaiah Rwanyekiro thanked ICOB for picking out Breathtaking Uganda to partner in this huge convention.
“As Breathtaking Uganda, we begun the journey with the belief that growth of Uganda’s tourism must start from Uganda, by Ugandans for it to take root and spread all over the world. It is the message we spread while on our around Uganda trips, while having our quiz nights and on social media platforms. And is the message we are taking to the convention”
