Following the merger of Mbarara City Motor Rally Club (MCRC) and Mbarara City Motorsport Club (MMC), members have appointed Mr. Seth Murari as interim president, pending the election of substantive leadership at the forthcoming Annual General Meeting.
Murari said stakeholders should expect a renewed push to grow motorsport and expand its footprint across western Uganda.
He has also pledged to promote road safety by sensitising drivers to respect traffic rules and other road users, in a bid to help reduce accidents.
Last year, Mr. Seth Murari contested for the Mayoral seat of Mbarara City and narrowly lost to Incumbent Robert Kakyeebezi.
Murari has also been instrumental and a present figure in the affair of Mbarara City and is the brain behind Save River Rwizi Marathon which created awareness and eventually saved the only water body in Mbarara City. Seth is also a lover of sports and has been involved in several sports activities in the city. Watch the space!!!
