Rt. Hon. Dr. Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga was yesterday nominated to continue serving as the 2nd National Vice Chairperson (Female) on the NRM Central Executive Committee (CEC).
Bringing decades of legislative and executive leadership including as Uganda’s first female Speaker, current First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for East African Community Affairs, and many other capacities, Kadaga’s nomination reflects a call for steady leadership, institutional depth, and inclusive governance.
“This nomination is not just a renewal of a mandate—it is a reaffirmation of my commitment to the people of Uganda and the NRM. I am ready to continue providing leadership that uplifts women, strengthens our regions, and advances the party’s vision,” said Rt. Hon. Kadaga.
Her continued presence on the CEC is viewed as essential for sustaining party cohesion, advancing gender equity, and maintaining regional representation.
