The State Minister for Relief, Refugees and Disaster Preparedness Hon. Lillian Aber has commissioned the distribution of relief food to vulnerable people in Karamoja Region.
The food amounts to 151,600Kgs of maize flour and 75,800Kgs of beans and these are to mitigate food security to vulnerable people of Karamoja Region.
The Minister told leaders not to store the food but rather distribute it immediately to beneficiaries as soon as possible.
“I commissioned distribution of relief food totaling to 151,600Kgs of maize flour and 75,800Kgs of Beans to mitigate food insecurity to vulnerable people of Karamoja sub-region.I urged leaders to ensure that this food is not stored but forwarded to the beneficiaries asap,” Hon. Lillian Aber said.
