Time and again the singer has rallied Kampala voters and fellow artistes to support his bid for mayorship, saying he wants transform the city to a level of other developed cities he has visited before. And many look at him as the suitable candidate to take over since he understands the city and the common man. However the singer is under pressure to cut off his 20 year old dreadlocks.

Ragga Dee, who doubles as a businessman, has also promised to promote Ugandan music. Recognised as one of the pioneers of contemporary Ugandan music, Ragga Dee was born in 1973 to George William Kyeyune. From a young age the singer has always been a leader.
