At the UG Mix Dance Party, it was all parte after parte as Ugandans ushered in a new decade with a bang at the Sheraton Kampala gardens last week.

The annual event sponsored by Uganda Waragi has become one of Kampala’s most-attended New Year’s Eve celebrations.

Jose Chameleone stepped on stage a few minutes to midnight as revellers counted down the final seconds of 2019 that culminated into a 10-minute fireworks display that lit up the Kampala skyline.

Earlier, revellers had enjoyed performances from BET Award winner, Eddy Kenzo and hip-hop artiste, John Blaq.

Then came the long awaited Congolese soukous musician, Kanda Bongo-man who rekindled fond memories with some of his popular hits like Elizabeth, Monie and Lela Lela.
