The long-awaited Ekyooto Ha Mpango 2025 Coronation celebrations officially took place yesterday at Karuzika Royal Palace, Fort Portal Tourism City in Kabarole District.
Guests, dignitaries and well-wishers experienced the colours, sounds and traditions of 30 years of His Majesty King Oyo Nyamba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV’s Empango a living showcase of Tooro’s heritage and unity.

The Speaker of Parliament Rt. Hon. Anita Annet Among represented His Excellency President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni as the guest of honor who was unable to attend due to other pressing state obligations.

“I would like to congratulate His Majesty on his 30th Coronation Anniversary. We thank God for His blessings, as stated in the Bible, specifically in Romans Chapter 13:1, which teaches us that all power comes from God. I would also like to commend Her Royal Highness the Queen Mother for her vision, courage, and hard work. Her efforts have nurtured you and prepared you to fulfill your rightful role as the King of the Great Kingdom of Tooro,” Rt. Hon. Anita Annet Among said.

Additionally, she pais special tribute to His Excellency Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, who, as the King’s Guardian, has collaborated with the Queen Mother and other Guardians to support him in his role as King of Tooro over the past 30 years.


‘On behalf of the 11th Parliament, which is dedicated to addressing the needs of the people, we recognize and support traditional institutions like Tooro through legislation, representation, and resource allocation. I commend the harmonious working relationship and collaboration we have maintained between Parliament and the Kingdom of Tooro through your Members of Parliament. I pledge that the bond of mutual collaboration between Tooro and the Government will continue to grow stronger,” Rt. Hon. Among added.

The Ekyooto Ha Mpango 2025 which is organized by Talent Africa Group is climaxing today with a Music and Culture Live show.

This Karuzika Royal Palace Fort Portal Tourism City will turn into the heartbeat of Tooro with electrifying performances from Cindy Sanyu, Muzamir, Iryn Hindah, Atwookie Richie, Zaya Rozette, Big Doug, Mc Droppa, Deejay Hash & Dj Tony. Gates open at 4 PM with free entrance.
