Pictorial: How it went down at Ekyooto Ha Mpango festival in Fort Portal
The Ekyooto Ha Mpango Festival, brilliantly organized by Talent Africa Group and held at the Buhinga Stadium, marked a spectacular conclusion to the 29th coronation anniversary celebrations of His Majesty King Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru IV.
The festivities commenced on September 12th with a historic coronation ceremony, setting the stage for 2 days filled with vibrant cultural events and competitions.
The festival featured a series of exciting events, including a highly competitive golfing and Basketball tournament both presided over by King Oyo himself.
Participants and visitors also enjoyed royal tours to the Kibaale Gorilla Trekking, further highlighting the beauty and biodiversity of the Tooro region. The King led a delegation of high-profile attendees to a bird-watching experience together with Princess Elizabeth Bagaya.
Guests were treated to a fashion gala spectacular fashion show showcasing traditional and contemporary designs in addition to a royal dinner which were both presided over by The Queen Mother Her Royal Majesty Queen Dr. Best Olimi Kemigisa Akiiki.
Musical performances were a highlight of the Ekyooto Ha Mpango festival, featuring renowned artists such as Blu 3 and Fik Fameica, Beenie Gunter alongside a selection of Tooro’s finest talents including Atwooki Richie, Muzanil Ayesiga, Tai-Tan, Irene Henda, Raya Rosette, Draei Bitsc, Hly Tremmie, and Sagio Mhza. The festival will also feature renowned DJs Tony, DJ Bash, and DJ Hash.
