

Photos: Massive crowd as partiers throng the annual Jinja Fish Festival
Last Sunday, December 11th, all roads led to King Fisher Resort Jinja for the annual Jinja Fish Festival.
There was massive turn up as fish lovers packed themselves at the place to enjoy the fish delicacy.
Partners from partners addressed the revellers and emphasised responsible fishing to enable more fish.
Local musicians from Jinja kicked off the festival with some Spirited performances before star singer Jose Chameleone wowed the crowd amidst massive cheers from the crowd.
Jinja Fish Festival was fourth edition and attracted fish lovers from neighboring Kenya and other countries, holiday makers, students, researchers, businessmen, fishermen, government officials, fish feeds manufacturers and Exporters.
The festival was funded by GIZ, Responsible Fisheries Business Chains Project and supported by GIZ partners that include; Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries,

Uganda Fish Processors and Exporters Association, Federation of Fisheries Organizations in Uganda, National Agricultural Research Organization (NARO), Association Of Fish and Lake Users Of Uganda, Katosi Women Development Trust, Sustainable Fisheries Initiative, Lake Kioga Management Organization, Uganda National Women in Fisheries Organization, Fisheries Training Institute Makerere University, NBS Khodeyo.
