Busoga Kingdom Tourism and Heritage Minister Hon. Hellen Namutamba has hosted Nyege Nyege Festival in Busoga Kingdom as she joined thousands to enjoy culture, art and entertainment at Jinja Golf Course.

In a vibrant celebration of music, art, and culture, Uganda’s renowned Nyege Nyege Festival continues to attract thousands from across the globe.

Set against the scenic backdrop of the Nile River in Jinja, this annual event has become a melting pot of cultures, drawing attendees from Europe, America, Asia, and other parts of Africa.

Known for its eclectic lineup of music ranging from Afrobeat to electronic and traditional sounds, the festival offers an immersive experience that blends performances, dance, and local crafts. Visitors are treated to four days of non-stop revelry, showcasing Uganda’s rich cultural tapestry and its warm hospitality.

Nyege Nyege, a Swahili phrase that loosely translates to “an irresistible urge to dance,” perfectly embodies the spirit of the festival. The festival organized by Talent Africa Group (TAG) Event and majorly sponsored by Uganda Breweries Limited is ongoing until 17th of this month.
