Pemba now set to venture into motorsport with Byoona partnership

Few rally competitors have generated as much excitement as Ambrose Byoona over the past three seasons.

After being the only competitor to defeat Jas Mangat and Joseph Kamya in a competitive section of the Mosac Rally in November 2016, he promised a full assault on the 2017 National Rally Championship.

A combination of various factors on and off the rally course ensured the driver popularly known as ‘omunyeto’ did not succeed with that sequence continuing well into this season where he is yet to make an appearance.

That though has not stopped him from making another vow. “My fans should expect and entertainment and real competition,” he said on Friday evening.

www.showbizuganda.com understands his reason excitement stems from a partnership he has entered into with self-proclaimed sports philanthropist Jack Pemba.

Having last made headlines in 2016 after entering a partnership with two-time national basketball league champions Warriors, Pemba is offering Byoona $100,000.

“He is going to sponsor me for the next two seasons and I will promote his programs through motorsport,” Byoona who was previously sponsored by Hima Cement asserted.

“The sponsorship is very important and should help me compete in the next season,” added Byoona who expects to race in at least one domestic event this season.

Pemba first came into the limelight in sporting circles after his involvement with bodybuilder Ivan Byekwaso before partnering with Rainbow International School and later kick boxer Umar Semata.
