Opinion: NUP can’t lead Uganda due to their leader’s incompetence

By Mulungi Peter

Uganda has witnessed tremendous growth and stability under the visionary leadership of President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni. His decades of experience, unwavering commitment to national development, and inclusive governance stand in stark contrast to the divisive and chaotic politics propagated by opposition groups like the National Unity Platform (NUP).

Under NUP’s leadership, internal strife, ideological contradictions, and a lack of clear direction have exposed their inability to govern. Their foundation, built on hate, discrimination, and tribalism, undermines national unity and threatens Uganda’s hard-earned peace. Instead of fostering constructive policies, they engage in infighting, weakening their own party and proving their unpreparedness to lead.

In contrast, President Museveni’s government has delivered tangible results:

INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT:
Roads, hospitals, and schools have been constructed nationwide, improving livelihoods.

ECONOMIC GROWTH:
Strategic investments in agriculture, industry, and technology continue to create jobs and boost prosperity.

PEACE AND SECURITY:
Uganda remains stable, with strong institutions safeguarding citizens against threats.

INCLUSIVE GOVERNANCE:
The NRM’s broad-based approach ensures all regions and communities benefit from national progress.

As we approach the 2026 elections, the choice is clear. President Museveni’s leadership guarantees continuity, stability, and development, while the opposition offers only division and uncertainty. Let us unite behind a proven leader and reject the politics of chaos.

Vote President Museveni for a Stronger, United, and Prosperous Uganda!

Together, We Keep Uganda Moving Forward.
