Opinion: Hon Jacklet Atuhaire Rwabukurukuru, a real leader that Sheema needs

Hon Jacklet Atuhaire was born and raised in a small village of Runyinya, Kigarama Sub-county. She passed with distinctions for her PLE from Kamugungunu Primary School and thereafter completed her O’level from Rweibare Senior Secondary School where she was head girl. She completed her high school from Universal Girls Secondary School where she was a scripture union chairperson.

Hon Jacklet Atuhaire did a Bachelors degree in International Development and Information technology from the University of East London where she was guild president.

She is a holder of a Masters’ of Science in Oil and Gas management from the distinguished Centre for Energy, Petroleum, Mineral Law and Policy, University of Dundee, Scotland.

The MP is a distinguished member of the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators, Africa Chapter. She is also a member of the global Society of Petroleum Engineers, UK chapter.

She is a regular contributor of articles in the Abuja based Africa Petroleum Magazine. She sits on three different starter-ups oil and gas companies as a board member in Uganda and United Kingdom, where she has demonstrated robust management and technical skills.

On 12th of March, 2014, Hon Jacklet made history when she invoked provisions of the Petroleum (refining, conversion, transmission and storage) Act, 13. She accordingly led a team of only Ugandan Oil and Gas trained experts to apply for the first ever midstream petroleum transmission license even when the refinery and pipeline investors have not yet submitted applications under the same law. She still remains the only person to enjoy that part of history in the development of the Uganda Oil and Gas sector.
Just about 45 Ugandans have a postgraduate degree in Oil and Gas production and management, and Hon Jacklet Atuhaire being one of them is an honor for Sheema and Uganda at large. The Uganda Public Finance Management Act, 2015 (Section 61, 62 and 63) and the Petroleum (refining, conversion, transmission and storage) Act, 2013 empower parliament to provide oversight of petroleum activities and revenues.

Hon Jacklet is the only Ugandan to join parliament with relevant training and sector experience which has enabled her support the law as it stands.

What an opportunity for Sheema, what an opportunity for Uganda. A once in a decade opportunity to present its self in Uganda, only just Sheema not any other but just Sheema. The people of Sheema you have the opportunity. so Vote Hon Jacklet again into power.

Hon Jacklet has further more in her term of office as the district Woman MP sheema introduced various Projects where majority people are beneficiaries of her Positive energy.

She has utilised her term of office to build a strong touch hold in the state thus sheema is now jumping proud with a presidential confidant who is assigned duties directly from the president because of her hard-work.

Hon Jacklet has utilised her term of Office Through collaborating with both the rich and the poor a thing that has enabled the poor (omuntu wawansi) gain a social status.

Hon Jacklet due to her hard-work doubles as the chairperson roads committee sheema district where she has used her office to construct roads thus sheema becoming a modal district.

She has furthermore improved computer literacy in her district by donating computers to Majority institutions where as per now sheema is a home of elites.
Water, electricity etc under her energy has been brought near to sheema people.

A lot she has done for her people as a woman and sheema still has alot to gain from her in another term if voted into power again.
