The commander of Nkuyege Think Tank Team, Hajjat Hanifah Karadi, has sent a special Heroes’ Day message to Ugandans as they commemorate the day. In the message, she praised the heroes for their sacrifice which has brought peace and development to Ugandans.
Her full message is below
“The Builders Are Us”. Today we honor Abazira — the sons and daughters who gave their sweat, blood, and time so that Uganda can stand in peace. But a hero is not only the one who fought yesterday on the battlefield.
A hero is also the teacher who reports to class when no one is watching.
The nurse who saves a life at 2am.
The farmer who feeds the nation.
The engineer who builds standard roads for Uganda. The youth who chooses hard work over shortcuts. Peace was won for us. Development is our responsibility. Let us not destroy what Abazira built through corruption, division, or laziness. Let us build what they started — a Uganda that works for every child, in every village.This is our time. This is our duty. This is *Term No More Sleep. To the fallen: We remember you.
To the living: We call you to service.
To the young: The future is in your hands.
