New Holland Tractors; Enhancing Agricultural Mechanization in Uganda

Farmers have enthusiastically embraced the latest New Holland tractors distributed by The Cooper Motor Corporation (CMC), the leading car dealers in Uganda.

The tractors have been hailed as the farmer’s dream in as far as sorting ploughing needs are concerned. Showcasing the TT40 Horse Power and TT75 Horse Power models of the new Holland tractors at the Harvest Money expo at Namboole Stadium, Simon Mugerwa, the New Holland brand manager noted that the tractors will help farmers to reduce the ploughing time.

This is critical especially at this time when the weather is increasingly becoming hostile thus the need for speedy garden preparation so as to maximize yields. “The TT40 Horse Power can plough up to five acres while the TT75 Horse Power can plough between 10 and 12 acres per day depending on the nature of terrain,” Simon , said. He however urges farmers to prepare gardens well before using the tractors.
