Kampala: Dr Elly Karuhanga left little out as he was being celebrated and honored at the just concluded annual Meet the Boss gala that took place last night at Skyz Hotel Naguru.
The Honory consul spoke about everything that makes a professional and young entrepreneur tick. Preaching integrity, commitment and good networking as some of the Must haves in making it big in not only the oil industry but any field one sets their heart on.
Speaking at the gala, karuhanga emphasized the importance of integrity and networking telling a story of how his integrity and big network played a role in how his life played out especially when he was in exile.
“ if you have ever noticed I never walk alone, I always have at least one young person around me everywhere I go because It is important to net work with people it of a different field or stature because those same people will be your guardian angle in the near future,”
With the theme “Tapping potential through the Uganda Private Sector,” the Oil and Gas edition attracted key stake holders and professionals who flocked in to acquire skills and offer guidance to others at the exclusive dinner that took place in the evening.
The event that saw some new players like Tusker Malt jump on Board also included key players in the Oil and Gas section who, through a panel discussion, shared the available opportunities that can be harnessed in the budding sector explaining that it is not only in the Oil and Gas sector that these opportunities manifest but also around the sector which offers different business opportunities.

The event also celebrated and rewarded “Boss of the Night” Honorable Dr Elly Karuhanga for his exceptional work and sacrifice in the sector where he gave a one on one with the guests. Other panelists included Agrey Ashaba UCMP, Jennifer Keyune UNOC, Asmahaney Saad – Oil& Gas Legal Specialist, Robert Byaruhanga Lecturer Victoria University.
