Meet Asiimwe Herbert Banyanga, the man vying for Ruhinda South MP seat come 2026

Senior City Accountant and former MTN Accountant Mr Herbert Asiimwe Banyanga has announced that he is joining politics.

He has confirmed to us he will be contesting for the post of Member of Parliament (MP) for Ruhinda South in Mitooma District come 2026.

His announcement has unsettled the current MP Hon.Donozio Mugabe Kahonda. He is having sleepless nights over it.

Asiimwe Herbert Banyanga holds MBA (Finance and Accounting) of Makerere University Kampala, he also studied and completed (ACCA) Association of Chartered Certified Accountants).

He started his finance and accounting career over eleven years ago as assistant accountant at MTN Uganda and was later on promoted to full accountant in the same organization.

When MTN Uganda sold its masts to American Tower Cooperation, he switched from MTN and joined Eaton Towers, a telecom infrastructure Management company that had acquired WARID and Orange telecom passive infrastructure. He was part of the team that improved and Stabilized WARID telecom Network.

Asiimwe Herbert Banyanga later on, joined Steel and Tube Industries, a steel rolling and Manufacturing company as a financial controller.  Due to his excellent execution of tasks and management skills, costing, budget preparation and monitoring, he was promoted and transferred to head Steel and Tube Kenya at Mombasa, a position he held professionally and diligently until he decided to start a Freight Forwarding companies, Transline Logistics Uganda Ltd.

Transline Logistics is one of the most successful freight companies located at Kampala and has been in operation since 2018.

He is currently at the helm of Transline Logistics.
