The split comes shortly after rumors surfaced that Rihanna and Chris Brown have been talking again.

“Chris started texting Rihanna on her birthday, and the two have been sending each other a flurry of texts ever since,” a source divulged to the NY Post.

“Rihanna didn’t write back right away… But later that night she started getting sentimental and texted back, ‘Thank you,’ and asked how he was.

Since then the two haven’t stopped texting each other and friends are freaked out that she’s going to start dating him again.

Tran and Brown have had a tumultuous relationship since they began dating in 2011.

They’ve broken up several times, one during which he briefly dated Rihanna again before going back to Tran.

Tran has supported him through many run-ins with the law, including his stint in rehab for anger management.

As for the Rihanna rumors, Brown’s reps told the NY Post: “[Chris] is focused about his recovery. He only wants the best for her.”
