Global Cultural Event set to promote culture and tourism in Uganda

The first ever Global Cultural Event to be held in Kampala is slated for 13th August 2017. The event hosted by events star promoter Mary Ingabire who is based UK will promote culture and tourism.

Cultural tourism, or culture tourism, is the subset of tourism concerned with a country or region’s culture. Specifically, it is about the lifestyle, of the people, their history, art, food, architecture, religion, traditions, and other tangible and intangible elements that helped shape their way of life.

Uganda is endowed with diverse cultural tourism potential but not well packaged and marketed to the wider global markets. One of the reasons cited for this pale growth is low funding by government and the absence of investment incentives to those that intend to venture into this section of tourism.

But as majority await government to occasion miracles in Uganda’s biggest export earning sector, Mary Ingabire seems to have already discovered her mission and is ready to fulfil it. The must-attend Global Cultural Event will take place at Uganda museum.

With several different cultural groups set to perform and showcase, the platform will act as a market to show the world what Uganda can offer culture wise.

Entrance fee to the event is 5k for kids, 10k for adults, stall 500k, VIP Table 1m and Tent 1.5m.
