Evicting Uganda from AGOA is an abuse of fundamental human right – Susan Muhwezi

The presidential assistant on AGOA Mrs Susan Muhwezi has described a decision by US to evict Uganda from AGOA as a denial of fundamental human right because trade is about wealth creation and prosperity.

Reacting to the news on her social media, Susan Muhwezi said they should consider the livelihoods of the exporters who have invested in value addition.

“As the US thinks of evicting UGANDA as an AGOA Beneficiary, are they considering the livelihoods of these Exporters who have invested in value addition & are exporting? I truly believe that’s a fundamental human right because trade is about wealth creation & prosperity,” Susan Muhwezi said.
