Saturday, January 31 2026, marked the dawn of a new era in Buliisa hospitality with the grand opening of Epic Cottages. According to Mrs. Justine Musinguzi, the proprietor, “Epic Cottages was built with heart. Every detail reflects our personal touch.”
The event was a resounding celebration of vision, artistry, and sustainable design, attended by distinguished guests from government, business, and conservation circles.
Epic Cottages is a labor of love. Rising from the once-arid landscape, it now flourishes with verdant gardens, hundreds of trees, and a harmony of flora and fauna. Each cottage, limited to just two rooms, offers a private escape into comfort and elegance. Guests enjoy king-size beds, air conditioning, smart TVs, high-speed Wi-Fi, and walk-in showers, with verandahs opening into lush gardens.
Rooms are named after Uganda’s national treasures, reflecting the lodge’s deep connection to nature. Dr. Edwin Musiime the founder of the property show Africa noted, “Epic Cottages demonstrates how hospitality can be both profitable and principled.”
The launch brought together visionaries and leaders, including Major General Dr. Ambrose Musinguzi and Mrs. Ambrose Musinguzi, proprietors of the lodge.
Key speakers included Mr. Ian Taylorson (Facility GM), Eng. Denis Erau (Contractor), Mr. Bahebwa Longino (Resident District Commissioner), Mrs. Dorcus Rukundo Twesigaomwe (Uganda Wildlife Authority), and representatives from TOTAL E&P, Dr. Joseph Kobusheshe, Chief Guest, highlighted the lodge as a model of sustainable luxury that respects both the environment and the community.
